What are Categories?

Categories are wonderful, they automatically create links to all the pages that have been labelled as being in that category.

Categories Howto

The following example is how to create a page for a 'local group' and have the category page for the county it is in present a link to the local group page automatically...

• Create your page for the group in South Yorkshire (e.g. create a page

called South Yorkshire Home Educators)

• On this page add the category it belongs to at the bottom (e.g.

[[Category:Yorkshire]]

• This will create a red link at the bottom of the page, click on the link

and you will arrive at the 'category' page for Yorkshire.

• On the category page for Yorkshire, add the text [[Category:UK]]

Now you will find that the UK page has automatically got a link to the Yorkshire category page and that the Yorkshire Category page has automatically got a link to your group page.
